Whole Life Challenge and Big Eight Update
Whole Life Challenge - Day 36
I've done well on my challenge so far! I have lost 7 pounds, an two inches off my waist and two inches off my hips! I have still not made it into the illusive 170's but my clothes sure are fitting me better! I have eliminated the following from my diet: wheat, grains, breads, starches, desserts, white rice, white potatoes, sugar, additives, preservatives, chemicals, processed foods, sodas, sweeteners of any sort, soy of any kind and dairy. So what do I eat? Meats, vegetables, brown rice, sweet potatoes, fruits and nuts basically. I am never hungry. In addition, I do the following daily:
At least 10 minutes of mobility - stretching and yoga-type stuff
At least 10 minutes workout of any sort - I have been running, walking, exercise biking, modified Crossfit-type exercises, strength training with small weights
Take supplements - vitamins, minerals, etc.
Writing refections
Weekly lifestyle challenges such as: drinking half my weight in ounces of water daily, getting 7 hours sleep, meditating-on Jesus, no cellphone during meals, encouraging others on my team.
We have 20 more days left on this challenge. I have had a slip up or two but hope and pray to finish strong. My goal was to lose 10 pounds during this challenge...it's gonna be close!
I have also been doing well on My Big Eight! I have been doing a Facebook Bible study on Faithfully Fit devotional book. We have only 2 more weeks and we will be beginning a new study - Taste For Truth. I enjoy spending time with the Lord each morning. I am getting better with the worrying and a lot better about not letting other people determine my happiness.
God is still working on me, for sure! I have a long way to go but I am encouraged when I stop and look back and see how far I have come with God as my strength!
